III/72 Anglo-Danes completed

Basing complete, and a final spray over with Army Painter matt. It's a nice simple army, though I'm still sad there is no cavalry option. 

I can see a really good matchup with pre-feudal Scots, once those are rebased.

My two options of Ps, Danish longbow on right. All minis are from HaT el Cid. 

These are switch-outs if I don't use all select fyrd. The holy rollers with cross designs on left and moldy oldies with round shields on right.

The remaining select fyrd, with neutral shields. All select fyrd are Strelets but quite a lot have spear added, and kite shields off Zvezda Russians. 

Finally, the mob AKA fyrd.

Probably too hard to tell but faces and hand highlights are on.

With elf skintone my base I use a 1:1 silver grey to the above to create a pale tan highlight.

Today is pale tan day. I felt the low-class color blue was too prevalent, so I overpainted those, put color on shield backs and belts and scabbards and even the war-horns four of the minis have. The pale tan is a mix of tan glaze, silver grey, and plague brown, all Vallejo. 

Finally a second silver grey coat for each shield.

flesh is straight Vallejo elf, brown is 1:1 Vallejo plague and Vallejo beasty.
